The chimney sweep brought good luck to old King George and now the tradition continues with john bringing good luck to brides who book him for their special day.
There are several reasons.
The first, and perhaps the most romantic, is the story of the chimney sweep who slipped and slid down a roof, his foot caught in the gutter which stopped him falling to the ground but left him hanging upside down.
The daughter of the house, who reached out of the window, caught his hand and helped him climb into her room.......
